Ok, so as is the case with most techy kind of stuff that I get into, there is always something newer, and better out there, so this will officially be the last post that I put up here. We will be moving our rotation schedule to the new church website, and instead of having a "worship blog", we will just have a new blog that the whole church body can get in on. Sorry if you were just getting used to coming here, and now you have to go somewhere else again to read my wonderfully witty musings, but...such is life, you'll just have to deal with it :)
So, thanks for reading here, and I hope to see you interacting at the new blog, and website!

In case you didnt know...
here is a conversation that is up on the Beacon facebook. Me and Pat sat down for a talk on Wed morn, and hit record.
hope you enjoy!
Additional Conversation with Pat and Jeff
Also....
we are gonna have some new/younger faces among the musicians/vocalists...so be ready for some new blood! welcome Jordan Jones, Kristyn Jones, and Valerie Simpson(my little sis)! they are all really talented, and i'm super excited to see some of the youths wanting to use their talents in this way!
plus, i can indoctrinate them with all my liturgical ideas!!! bwahaha!!! just kidding....
seriously, this could be a really good chance to see some eldering/discipleship happening from older to younger, AND from young to older, as they begin to walk with us in this area of service. Lets be sure to walk together in a way that they know that their ideas and creativity are just as legitimate as any of ours, and that we really want, and NEED their creativity and passion, and that they can feel free to lead us just as we lead them.

Beauty and Truth
here is a link to my own blog on the subject(s).
I was thinking it might be cool for us to discuss how this affects our ideas on worship, both corporate and individual.
How can we see these two ideas being married together in what we are about both out in the world and in our corporate setting when we gather on Sundays?
